Rights Respecting School Gold Award

Today we had a virtual visit from Unicef, to see whether we can be reaccredited with the Gold Level of the Rights Respecting Schools Award, which we first achieved in January 2019.

They met with some parents, governors, staff and some students from school council.

They told us that they had had an "inspirational morning" and that they could see clearly that children's rights were embedded in everything that we do in school.

We heard some really moving comments from parents about how their child was "thriving" at Foreland Fields School and we saw some fantastic communication skills from our School Council Members!

Whilst we are not able to say whether we are still achieving Gold Level until we receive the final report - the feedback was all really positive!
