Government Response to COVID-19 Restrictions - Update

You will all be aware that The Government last night set out the next phase of their response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), including the lifting of restrictions on attendance at education settings.

Schools are to open to all pupils/students from 8th March 2021. Attendance at school is mandatory, required by law, therefore all pupils/students, unless they are shielding, self-isolating or unwell, should attend Foreland Fields School from the week beginning Monday 8th March. It may be appropriate to stagger attendance during this first week. We will be in touch with parents/carers once a start date for their child has been set.

We are in the process of updating our risk assessment and parent/staff handbooks and are also drafting a letter to parents/carers which provides further information on full opening, attendance expectations and greater detail regarding the testing of our secondary aged students.

Government guidance is in the process of being updated therefore, the minute we have relevant information to share, please be assured that we will.
