Pupils from the Junior Department visited The Forest School at Quex Park this week. Our pupils in Infants and Juniors will be visiting The Forest School weekly. Please see their report below.
When we arrived Gordon, our Forest School Leader, was waiting to greet us. He showed us around the Forest School and the boundaries. Gordon also showed us the sheltered area with the fire pit inside and explained the rules carefully. He took us to the zip slide where we all had a few turns. Of course all the adults had to have a go as well! We then went to meet the animals in the woods. We said hello to the goats, tickled the pigs and fed the ducks. Gordon then asked us to look for the fairies’ whispers hanging from the trees. We used three different coloured whispers to make fairy bracelets. We want to show the other children how to make them when we got back to school. Gordon then took us to an area in the woods where we sat and ate lunch. What an exciting morning. We can’t wait to go back next week!
