When Foreland student and Boy George fan Poppy Chatfield met her idol in London, she described it as the best day of her life!
Now Poppy has recorded an interview recalling her brilliant day with the pop star as part of an event organised through the Rays of Sunshine children’s charity.
The interview was recorded at the Hartsdown Academy student radio centre where Poppy has regular lessons as part of the Foreland School’s inclusion unit.
Poppy met the singer, DJ and television personality at the Planet Hollywood diner where he was donating one of his iconic hats to go on display.
After having a chat, Boy George posed for photos, signed some albums and gave Poppy a copy of the platinum disc of her favourite song Karma Chameleon.
Poppy and fellow students from the unit produced and edited the audio package which Poppy aims to send to Boy George.
