Today (10th May) we had our final assessment for the Unicef Rights Respecting School Award (Level 1). The assessor spent the day in school speaking to the leadership team, governors, parents/carers and pupils. The aim of the assessment was to identify whether we, as a school, put the principles of the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child at the heart of our ethos and culture?
Whilst we had some feedback at the end of the day, we are required to wait for the full report until we announce whether we were successful.
The report should be with us in around 10 days upon which time I will share outcomes with all parents.
A big thank you to all parents and carers who came into school to meet with the assessor.
