This month we will be taking part in Unicef’s OutRight 2017 campaign. OutRight is a campaign for children - by children - that helps them to promote and protect children’s rights in the UK and around the world. This year, OutRight is focused on the rights of refugee children – especially their right to protection and their right to be with family.
Students will be taking part in a range of activities in school to learn about the impact of the refugee crisis. Younger pupils will be hearing the story of Paddington Bear, who was a refugee from Peru. Older students will be encouraged to promote children’s rights in the community by sending messages to our local MP.
Pupils and Students will have an opportunity to share their work during assemblies on 22nd November. Look out for details of our campaign on the school website.
