Crowd Funder launched for Field of Dreams project

Foreland's Field of Dreams project is creating a specialist disability sport and leisure hub behind Foreland Fields School. The hub will consist of a grass football pitch and sports field, pavilion, horticulture area, arts area, and Forest School. The Field of Dreams will be used by the children and young people of Foreland Fields School on a daily basis, while other local disability groups will use the facilities in the evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The center pin of this project will be a fully inclusive pavilion that will house a Changing Places room with hoist, accessible toilets, showers, changing rooms, an education and training space, and a kitchen.

The cost to build the pavilion has been given as £445,000

To help us raise some of the money, we have set up a crowd funder to raise the costs of the Changing Places room within the pavilion. The total cost of fixtures and fittings for this room amount to £24,076.

The crowd funding campaign will run until 11th February. Any money pledged will be held in a seperate holding account and will be re-paid to pledgers if the campaign does not reach it's target by the deadline.

Any pledge, however small, will help us create this much needed facility and enable our special young people to be able to access a safe and specialized space to enhance their all-round wellbeing.
