Ofsted Inspection Outcome

I am delighted to be able to share the school’s Ofsted inspection report – attached below. As you will see, Foreland Fields School is judged to be a GOOD school.

The report details the findings from the 29th November inspection and makes some really positive comments about the school and its provision. I am most pleased by the statement that the inspection team found ‘the school to be a happy place’.

As you are all aware, this has been a busy year for all of us with the move from one site to the other, ensuring that pupils/students settled into their new surroundings. Therefore I am proud that we, as a school, have not allowed standards to slip and that pupils/students are still making ‘good or better progress’.

As you will see from the report there are, as always, some areas for us to work on, one of them being to improve lines of communication with parents. I will be in touch early next term to discuss this in greater detail, including the launch of a mobile app.

Once again, a big thank you to everyone who completed the Ofsted Parent View questionnaire.

This report will be available on the main Ofsted website within the next 5 days https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/
