Our Impact – How we Know that our Students are Making Progress

Students in Nursery will attend for a period of approximately 12 weeks for a period of observation and assessment. The function of the Nursery is to create an accurate picture of each student’s individual strengths and difficulties in order to recommend appropriate placements and levels of support in Year R. Development will be assessed using Development Matters.

Students in Year R will be observed and assessed during the first term in school to provide a baseline assessment using Development Matters. Progress meetings in terms 2 and 4 will set and review end of year expectations.

Progress for students in Years 1 and 2 will be measured using Development Matters. Other indicators of progress will be therapy goals, EHCP goals and MOVE goals where appropriate.
