Email Threat
18th Jan 2026
Dear parents and carers,
On Saturday morning we received an email containing a non specific threat to the school. The message was sent from an unverified email account.
As a precaution, I immediately closed the school, cancelled all clubs, and informed the police. Following their investigation, the police have now confirmed that it is safe for the school to open this week and that there is no information to suggest any risk to students, staff, or visitors. They have also advised that threats of this kind are, unfortunately, not uncommon.
Our school site is covered by CCTV, monitored continuously by an external company, and no concerns have been identified.
School will therefore be open as normal on Monday.
Please be assured that the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remains our highest priority. I fully understand that messages of this nature can be worrying, and we will continue to remain vigilant and alert to anything suspicious. We also have robust emergency procedures in place should we ever need to respond to a situation of this kind.
To help us manage communication effectively, could I please ask that parents/carers do not comment on this post directly (underneath). If you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to message us directly via ClassDojo or contact the main office tomorrow. Either myself, Jeremy or Sarah will return your call during the day.
Members of the Leadership Team will also be outside at the start and end of the school day tomorrow should you wish to speak to us in person.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Adrian
