COVID-19 Weekly Testing

Unfortunately, we have been notified of positive LFD tests over the weekend. We have spoken to parents/carers of all possible contacts.

Can I once again emphasise how important it is that parents/carers of students in Year 7 and above, where possible, continue with routine twice weekly asymptomatic LFD (Lateral Flow Device) testing in order to help identify cases promptly. We advise that one of these tests is taken before students return from a weekend, either on Sunday night or Monday morning, and the other is taken mid-week.

Please register test results with teachers through normal means – ClassDojo, email or home/school liaison book.

Can I urge parents to remain alert to the symptoms of COVID-19 which are;
• High temperature
• New, continuous cough
• Loss or change to sense of smell or taste.

Should your child display any of the symptoms, please do not send them into school but book a PCR test.

There have been numerous reports that people having COVID-19 may present as having a really bad cold with symptoms including a headache, sore throat and a runny nose so parents/carers may want to remain alert to this.

We will notify parents of testing arrangements for the Christmas break and return to school in January later in the week.
