Heat Warning - School Closure

25th Jun 2026

This morning has once again proved to be quite a challenge in classes with the heat. Tomorrow is expected to be higher still, with heat warnings being given out. Indications are that next week will be nearer to temperatures we are used to. As you have all been made aware, school is closed tomorrow to all students.

Teachers will be in touch this afternoon with links to tomorrow’s remote sessions.

In line with our Remote Learning Policy, Parents should have indicated agreement for their child to take part in Microsoft conferencing for educational purposes on the ‘Consent Form for Taking and Using Photos and Videos’ as part of their child’s admissions paperwork. If parents have not agreed to this, cannot remember if they have given agreement, or do not wish their child to take part in sessions, there is no expectation for their child to do so.

Please stay safe tomorrow ensure you, and your children stay hydrated, wear light-coloured, loose clothing, avoid the sun between 11am and 3pm and avoid extreme exercise. If you are inside, close curtains and close windows if it's hotter outside than in your home, and turn off electrical equipment and lights that get hot.

I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend.

We look forward to seeing all students on Monday.
